IMPRESSIONI NEI BOSCHI. Per un paesaggista, gli alberi sono soggetti speciali, perché sono come un anello di congiunzione tra la macchina fotografica e la Natura e sono “interpretabili” in molti modi, a seconda dello stato d’animo al momento dello scatto. Girovagando per la campagna e per i boschi per fotografare gli alberi, spesso sono rimasto confuso dall’intreccio di rami e fusti e dalle difficoltà nel trovare le giuste prospettive o simmetrie e nel cogliere con un’immagine l’essenza del luogo e di quello che percepivo. Allora, accanto a fotografie più tradizionali degli alberi immersi nel paesaggio, ho cercato di realizzarne anche altre, con delle astrazioni che potessero dare delle impressioni del luogo fotografato.  In questo portfolio ho incluso una serie di immagini, realizzate nel corso degli anni, con il mosso in camera o con doppie esposizioni giuocando sullo sfuocato o con zoomate controllate. Sono fotografie fuori dai canoni usuali ma che spero possano trasmettano all’osservatore le sensazioni e le impressioni dei luoghi che ho vissuto io.
WOODLAND IMPRESSIONS. For a landscape photographer, trees are special subjects, because they are like a link between the camera and Nature and are ‘interpretable’ in many ways, depending on the mood at the time of the shot. Wandering through the countryside and woods to photograph trees, I was often confused by the intertwining of branches and stems and the difficulties in finding the right perspectives and symmetries, making it difficult to capture the essence of the place and what I perceived in an image. So, alongside more traditional photographs of the trees in the landscape, I have also tried to make some abstractions that can give impressions of the place photographed. In this portfolio I have included a series of images, taken over the years, by moving the camera or with double exposures by playing on the blur or with controlled zooms. They are photographs outside the usual canons but which I hope will convey to the viewer the feelings and impressions of the places I have experienced.
